Eating your way thru St Petersburg
Food is life! Nothing brings people together more than good food that is served with a smile. You are bound to have a great time when you mix good food with good company. If you are anything like me, every dollar counts. That is why I always ensure that any restaurant I intend to visit has great reviews so I do not end up wasting my money. For more information about St. Petersburg, click here. Downtown St Petersburg, Florida is home to some of the best food joints on the Gulf Coast. It would take you weeks to eat your way thru them all, but I am sure you would enjoy it nonetheless! Here are a few that I would encourage you to visit if you ever visit this beautiful city.
Ruth’s Chris Steak House
Not only is the food here awesome but the service is nothing short of impressive. The waiters are attentive and quite professional. It is hard to find well trained wait staff that still ensure they pour your water before you have even finished undressing the table. Now, let’s talk a little more about the food. The meals are well portioned and seasoned to perfection. The lobster mac and cheese is loaded with lobster and the steak is tender and flavourful. What more could you ask for?
The Mill Restaurant
The Mill Restaurant is the perfect spot to grab breakfast or brunch. At night, this spot is also transformed into a romantic getaway since they ensure the entire restaurant is decorated with beautiful candelabras. This restaurant has earned itself quite a reputation for using fresh ingredients in every delicious meal and that alone is enough to keep me coming back.
Not many restaurants have been privileged to get a 5 star review online. That is why it goes without saying that the staff and chef at Copper Shaker must be doing something right. If you are in the mood for tapas and cocktails, this is the place to go. The entire restaurant is clean and inviting. The strips of oak on the walls and the elegant lighting add a touch of sophistication to the ambience. Additionally, this restaurant is home to some of the best bartenders in the entire Tampa Bay area.
Engine No. 9
This sports bar is quickly gaining popularity and it does not look like it will change anytime soon. Just mentioning the restaurant brings back memories of sweet potato fries that are thinly sliced to perfection and succulent burgers that have been stuffed with bacon. You would have to put up a pretty hard fight to resist this kind of delicious food, no matter what kind of diet you are on.
Brooklyn South is another fancy little sandwich shop that has been getting excellent reviews. Although a bit on the smaller side, this restaurant makes quite an impression. Firstly, you have the option of dining both indoors or outdoors, which is always a plus in my book. Secondly, their mac and cheese has been voted the best in St Petersburg. Need I say more?
